Literatura mexicana. Realismo y modernismo: confluencia en el porfiriato
Synopsis
The present work makes a brief tour through nineteenth-century literature framed in the Porfiriato. Literature in this period was linked to the social, political and economic events, so it was a reflection of the changes of the nation. Realism-naturalism, from an experimental method, was a narrative that objectively portrayed a society in crisis. On the other hand, modernism, from its revolutionary postulates, was a trend that reinvented poetic forms. Both trends reinvented our national literature, so longed for by the Romantic generation.
