El traductor como agente intercultural: traducciones literarias entre Hispanoamérica y Rumanía
Synopsis
Translators are the main agents that contribute to communication among different cultures. They also make significant social changes when they transfer messages from one language to another. This text is aimed at discussing how Romanian and Hispanic American Literatures have been able to relate to each other since there have been some socialist-oriented translation policies favorable to “marginal” Asian, African and Latin-American literatures. Finally, the focus of attention is on the translator as the main actor of intercultural exchanges.
