Synopsis

Confucius Institute at Bangor University in the UK will celebrate its 10th anniversary in September 2022. Located in Northwest Wales, it is one of China University of Political Science and Law’s three Confucius Institutes in this region of the UK. In the past ten years, remarkable results have been made in international Mandarin teaching in Wales. In the next decade, the Confucius Institute will start to explore a new path based on local needs. It will take The Curriculum for Wales 2022 for primary and secondary schools as an opportunity and try to find a clue in the modules related to languages, hoping to promote the integration of international Mandarin teaching in North Wales with the teaching modules and objectives mentioned in the new curriculum, which will be a milestone for the Mandarin teaching in this region.
