Receptarea critică a operei lui Radu Cosașu: cine, ce și de ce citește?

This article examines the critical reception of Radu Cosașu’s work after questioning why Romanian literary history has largely reduced an extensive and diverse oeuvre to the Supraviețuiri (Survivals) cycle. Although Oscar Rohrlich, writing under the pseudonyms Radu Costin and Radu Cosașu, published more than thirty volumes spanning fiction, journalism, and essays, literary dictionaries and histories have consistently privileged a single body of work. Through a historical and contextualized analysis of critical discourse, the study investigates the mechanisms that shaped this selective canonization and explains why Supraviețuiri became the defining work of Cosașu’s literary legacy.
