Synopsis

This volume aims—through the selected texts and authors, as well as the accompanying commentary—to provide a scholarly and impartial treatment of the controversy between identity and rights. At the same time, the study offers students and specialists the opportunity to gain a broader theoretical perspective on key concepts in political philosophy: identity, legitimacy, neutrality, consensus, multiculturalism, the politics of identity and the politics of rights, the good and the right, loyalty and borders, cosmopolitanism and autonomy.
