CONTINUIDADE E DESCONTINUIDADE ENTRE PB E PE: ALGUMAS QUESTÕES DE PRAGMÁTICA E O ENSINO DO PLE COMO LÍNGUA PLURICÊNTRICA
Synopsis
Portuguese is a pluricentric language (Baxter, 1992, Silva, 2014a). In this study, we will consider only the two well-established varieties, European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese, although we draw attention to the need to also consider other emerging varieties. When addressing the teaching of Portuguese as a pluricentric
language, a set of commonly identified differences between the two varieties is usually highlighted: phonetic, morphosyntactic and lexical (Rio-Torto, 2022). Pragmatic differences, however, are rarely mentioned.
