Digitalizarea documentelor de patrimoniu în cadrul Bibliotecii Academiei Române
Rezumat
This study examines how libraries have adapted to the digital age in response to the increasing accessibility of information through electronic resources. As information has become available at the click of a button, libraries have been required to navigate an ever-expanding flow of digital content while continuing to meet the research and documentation needs of their users. Focusing on the Romanian Academy Library as a case study, the article traces the institution’s historical development and analyzes the strategies through which it has embraced digital technologies. By exploring its transition from a traditional research library to a modern digital institution, the study highlights the challenges and opportunities involved in preserving and providing access to cultural and scholarly heritage in the contemporary information landscape.
