Rezumat
In recent times, Eastern Europe—and not only that region—has witnessed a spectacular resurgence of various forms of nationalism; while often in conflict with one another, they share similar structures and modes of expression. Defying all theories and scenarios that predicted the gradual and relatively easy establishment of supranational organizational forms—whether global or at least European in scope (ranging from the restricted, elitist model of the European Economic Community to the broader concept of the "Common European Home")—this phenomenon compels the attention of social science specialists.
