Opera lui Geo Bogza în postcomunism: de la tensiunile receptării la strategiile de recuperare

This article reconstructs the stages of the reception of Geo Bogza’s work after 1989, highlighting the relationship between mystification and critical recovery as a consequence of the traumatic post-communist context and its impact on the literary field. It examines critical positions expressed in literary journals and post-1990 literary histories, showing that Bogza’s initial reception was marked by tensions between moral condemnation and interpretative approaches that adapted his work to contemporary concerns, such as European integration and Bessarabian identity. Caught between ethical criticism and decontextualized readings, Bogza remained a controversial figure throughout the early post-communist period, a situation reinforced by the publication of his posthumous works. Around the year 2000, however, his recovery as an avant-garde poet gained momentum, encouraged by the cultural liberalization of post-communism and by the republication of previously banned works, including Poemul invectivă.
